Antigua & Barbuda’s Police and Customs Officers Conduct Million Dollar Airport Drug Bust

Over one million dollars’ worth of drugs was seized by Police and Customs Officers, during a Drugs Interdiction Operation at V.C Bird International Airport on Friday 14th February, 2020, the Antigua News room reports.

A total of one hundred and twenty-three pounds of compressed Cannabis, with an estimated street value of $1,230,000 was found concealed inside two wood boxes at the Customs Cargo Shed.

The shipment arrived on the island aboard an Amerijet Cargo Flight from Miami.

The illegal substance was seized and transported to Police Headquarters, where further investigations into the matter are ongoing. No one has yet been arrested.
