51-Year-Old Farmer Charged with Petit Bordel Homicide

St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded its third homicide of the year 2020 at Petit Bordel on Friday February 28, 2020.

According to investigations, Edward Lavia a 51 year unemployed man of Petit Bordel received a stab wound to the left side of his neck with a piece of broken bottle and subsequently succumbed to the injury.

On Sunday March 1, 2020, police arrested and charged Farmer James “Meddybang” Francois, 51 of the same address in connection with the incident.

Francois appeared before the Serious Offences Court for an arraignment where he was not expected to plea, this being an indictable matter.

Francois subsequently appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Tuesday March 3, concerning the preliminary inquiry into the matter.
