Accident and Emergency (A&E) services recommenced at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) on Tuesday (Mar. 17) evening, after operating briefly from the Kingstown District Clinic.
On Monday (Mar. 16), a person presenting with flu-like symptoms forced a temporary closure of the A&E Department of the MCMH. The patient visited the facility seeking care. The female was admitted for an assessment and has since tested negative for COVID-19.
The Kingstown District Clinic will serve as a Flu Clinic and Triage Point commencing Wednesday March 18, 2020.
The routine Kingstown District Clinic services have been temporarily transferred to neighboring districts to facilitate the operations of the Kingstown Flu Clinic.
Visiting hours at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital also resumed on Tuesday (Mar. 17) from 3pm – 5pm.
