COVID-19: Twelve Health Professionals to Arrive in SVG From Cuba on Wednesday

Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Hon. Luke Browne on Monday (Mar. 23) morning announced that a Cuban Medical Brigade consisting of 12 health professionals (doctors and nurses) is due to arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday (Mar. 25).

The Ministry of  Health, Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) has implemented a requirement for all travelers arriving in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from the USA, UK and European Union countries to self-quarantine for 14 days. The official quarantine list also includes China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. This was made effective as of Monday (Mar. 23) morning at 6:00am.

A message from the MOHWE was delivered in about 100 churches on Sunday (Mar 22). The Ministry said it would explore the possibility of having the message delivered in other congregations.
