SVG Olympic Committee Expresses Gratitude to Medical Workers

RELEASE: The St. Vincent & the Grenadines Olympic Committee we will like to express sincere gratitude to the local and international medical fraternity for the work that they have been doing throughout the years, but especially at this time of the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic that is taking over the world.

Those in the medical fraternity have spent hours each day sacrificing themselves, to save the lives of our parents and children. We extend congratulation to all of them and urge them to keep up the good work as we confront this health crisis.

Now, more than ever, there needs to be greater investment in our healthcare system. There is need for more support. Let us do our part and adhere to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment’s warnings to be safe during this time.

As President of the SVGOC, I call on everyone, especially our sports people and organisations, to respect our frontline workers in the healthcare system.

Let us unite!

Let us continue to promote health, peace and love.

These days are indeed challenging but faith gives us wisdom to know that the virus will pass and the lessons we learn will enable us to be stronger with greater resolve.

Remember, health is a shared responsibility.
