Monday’s motorcycle accident marks third road fatality for 2020

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident that occurred on Monday May 11th, 2020 along the Biabou public road, resulting in the death of Fidel Davis, a 34 year old Chauffeur of Cedars.

According to police investigations, Davis was travelling towards Georgetown on motorcycle PW177, a black and white Ninja bike, when he lost control of said motorcycle and he collided with an electrical pole in the vicinity of the Biabou Bridge.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer (DMO).

A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the deceased body to ascertain the cause of death.

Speaking with XtremeFM on Tuesday (May 12), the police said they can not confirm whether or not Davis was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
