Grade 5 students to return to school tomorrow

The Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information has informed that school will reopen for Grade 5 students here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines tomorrow, Wednesday June 3, 2020.
According to the Ministry, this comes as a response to the overwhelming request of stakeholders for more student engagement, noting that all established protocols are expected to be observed.
Grade 5 students of the following schools will continue online engagement for the rest of the term as they cannot adequately accommodate Grades 5 and 6 students at this time:
Lodge Village Government
Kingstown Anglican
C.W. Prescod Primary
Kingstown Preparatory
Fitz Hughes Government
Barrouallie Government
St. Mary’s Roman Catholic
Lower Bay Primary
Bequia Seventh Day Adventist
Leeward Seventh Day Adventist
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Mr. Myccle Burke on behalf of the ministry thanked all principals, teachers, parents and other stakeholders for their input and cooperation in facilitating the smooth   reopening of school for examinations.
The Ministry further advised that all schools close on July 3, 2020 as stated on the official school’s calendar.
All Grade 6 and Form 5 students as well as pupils of technical institutions returned to schools last week Monday.
