Prospective clean up programme for East St. George

The constituency of East St. George (ESG) may see the establishment of a beautification project, should New Democratic Party (NDP) hopeful Renson Haynes be selected as the party’s candidate, run against MP for ESG, Hon. Camillo Gonsalves and win the seat in the upcoming general election.

Haynes speaking on the WakeUpCall with Christal and Tha Fugitive on Wednesday (Jul. 22) said that he would employ a facelift team.

“The facelift team, this is not going to be a town board where they would come in every once a few weeks or few months. I’m gonna employ a team… like an East St. George facelift team to be going throughout East St. George (cleaning) the gutters, the roads, the drains, cleaning the high grass areas.”

He added that the facelift team will also be used for storm preparedness plans.

“If you know a hurricane is coming, we’d get the team out there.”

According to Haynes, the team will be properly outfitted.

“Uniformed as well, not just you see a man working in blue shirt and one in a red shirt. It’s an East St. George Facelift Team, so this is gonna take care of the constituency throughout.”

Haynes expressed that he would encourage his co-representatives to do the same, noting that “this could be nation building and transformation of constituency.”
