Work begins on new Sion Hill Bay road

Roads, Building and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) is urging residents of Sion Hill Bay to take precautionary measures while using the road in that area.

This follows the commencement of work on a new concrete main road, and the road leading to the beach.

ULP Candidate for East Kingstown announced this to his constituents via Facebook on July 1.

He said: Commencement of Works on Road leading to Sion Hill Bay. This would be helpful for residents and motorists + pedestrians who use the road to go to their homes, the beach or for other reasons. We are also proposing a medium term project for the protection and preservation of the beach itself.

Work is being done on the 818ft. road between the hours of 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The project, which is estimated at EC$212,000, will also see the construction of drains in the area.
