Cardi B seeks to trademark “WAP” after song’s success

American rapper Cardi B has filed to trademark “WAP” following the worldwide success of the raunchy song with fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, radiojamaicanewsonline reports.

The trademark is for a wide range of fashion items including clothing, headwear, footwear, jewelry, backpacks, handbags, fanny packs and luggage.

The 27 year old also applied to trademark “WAP” for beverages including beer and liquor, energy drinks, fruit juices and sodas.

Cardi launched “WAP”-branded raincoats and umbrellas last month.
