Two Green Party Candidates nominated, One independent enters November 5 election race

A total of thirty-three (33) candidates representing three political parties and one (1) independent were nominated on Tuesday (Oct. 20) as candidates for the November 5, 2020 General Elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP) and Opposition the New Democratic Party (NDP) each presented a full slate of fifteen (15) candidates. The Green Party had two candidates nominated.

Ivan O’Neal, Leader of the Green Party will contest the constituency of East St. George, against the ULP’s Camillo Gonsalves and NDP’s Laverne Gibson-Velox.

Kadmiel McFee will contest the North Central Windward seat, against the ULP’s Ralph Gonsalves and Cheiftain Neptune of the NDP.

The independent candidate, Osordo Bennett has been nominated in South Leeward, against Mineva Glasgow of the ULP and Nigel Stephenson, NDP.
