Police investigating death of 19-year-old Rose Place resident, Marks 25th Homicide for 2020

On the night of Sunday November 8, 2020, the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) of the Royal SVG Police Force was informed of a shooting incident in Rose Place.

On arrival at the scene, the MCU met a lifeless body with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The deceased was identified as Devonnie Belgreaves, 19, an unemployed resident of Rose Place.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer (DMO) and the Coroner gave permission to remove the body. A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the body. His death is said to have occurred at about 9:06pm.

Belgreaves’ death marks the twenty-fifth (25th) homicide in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the year 2020.

Investigations are ongoing.
