Sixteen (16) local cases of COVID-19 confirmed in SVG

Sixteen (16) local cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This was announced by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache at a press conference this morning (Tuesday Jan 5, 2021).

Twelve (12) of these cases are part of two (2) clusters which have been identified. Seven (7) cases belong to one cluster, while five (5) belong to the other.

The remaining four (4) cases are under investigation, in terms of finding the source.

To date, a total one hundred and thirty-three (133) cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in SVG, thirty-three (33) of which remain active.
