Vincentian Sunil Ambris named Vice Captain of the West Indies ODI squad for Bangladesh tour

On Tuesday December 29th, 2020 Vincentian batsman Sunil Ambris was named Vice Captain of the West Indies One Day International (ODI) Squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, which includes three ODIs and two Tests in Chattogram and Dhaka.

The right-hander who averages 44.70 from twelve innings was given the post after, approximately twelve first team players pulled out of the tour.
The Test squad will be led by Kraigg Brathwaite, with Jermaine Blackwood as vice-captain. Former Trinidad & Tobago and West Indies A captain Mohammed will lead the ODI team with Sunil Ambris as his deputy.
The West Indies touring party is due to arrive in Dhaka on January 10 and the series will run until February 15.
Ambris was appointed Sports Ambassador by Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves during his Independence address at the Victoria Park in 2020.
