SVGTU Calls For Action To Address Sexual Misconduct in Schools


The St Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Union (SVGTU) is calling on the authorities and stakeholders to work on developing appropriate protocols to effectively address the issue of sexual misconduct in school.

According to the SVGTU, Anecdotal data suggest that sexual violence and other forms of sexual misconduct is a growing concern in the nation’s schools.

In a release dated March 14th, the SVGTU said it unequivocally condemns all such reported acts.

It said the union is ready to collaborate with authorities effectively address this issue.
