Sita Di Lyrical Diva has cemented her name as being the queen of dancehall in St. Vincent and the Grenadines having been involved in music for the past seven years . Sita also known as the Firstlady gained recognition here with the release of a song called “Kitchen Dunce” gaining heavy rotation on local radio stations when local dancehall artistes were struggling to be recognized.
Reputed for her risque, high energy, stage performances and edgy flamboyant dress code, Sita’s performances usually result in calls for encores as she opened for many artistes including, Lady Saw, Fanton Mojah, Beenie Man, and more recently Romain Virgo. It was during one such show that she caught the attention of international recording artiste and producer Demarco when she opened for him in St. Lucia. That performance resulted in Sita being featured on the Tropical Punch Riddim (rhythm) produced by Demarco’s True Gift Entertainment label. The riddim compiled some of Jamaica’s biggest stars including Spice Ioctane and the Gaza King VybzKartel. The Official music video for “inna di video” her song on the riddim was released in December of 2016.
Di Lyrical Diva recently released a song called “Handle it” in April of this year produced by a Jamaican production team called Yard Block Entertainment.. She is also reported to be working on St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ first reality series which will detail the difficulties involved in her transitioning from dancehall music to soca.
